A leading international university, with campuses in Ireland, the USA, and Singapore, required a modern ERP finance solution to support its continued growth and ensure quality service delivery to its 45,000 students and staff. Operating with a decentralised finance model dating back to the 1990s, the university needed to modernise its financial systems to sustain operational efficiency and service excellence. Org was selected as the “Client-side Transformation Partner” to lead this finance transformation, develop a new operating model, and establish the foundational structure for this ambitious ERP journey.
The client is Ireland’s largest international university, attracting over 38,000 students from 152 countries, including more than 5,000 based internationally. Seeking to enhance financial operations, the university aimed to implement a scalable ERP solution to deliver efficient services for its diverse student and staff community.
This three-year programme represents the first Workday Finance ERP implementation in higher education across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. Led by Org’s Transformation Programme Director, the project’s foundation, setup, and governance are precisely aligned with the university’s requirements.
Org approached the initial stages pragmatically, creating a clear roadmap and fostering university-wide understanding and acceptance of the impending changes. During the initial planning phase, Org established robust programme governance, developed a well-resourced team, and set up a structured operating model for future needs.
